Learning and development is an important part of our employee’s journey at Metropolitan. From the first day that a new member arrives, they are empowered with on-going training opportunities which they can use to further their careers. As a part of Metropolitan, you dictate your growth by choosing which fields and courses you would like to equip yourself with. For the courses that are compulsory company requirements, we offer self-paced e-learning modules that allow you to complete these courses anywhere at a pace that suits you.

Akhona Mgabile. From intern to professional.

LIFE AFTER THE INTERNSHIP

Akhona Mgabile joined Metropolitan as an intern in the Retentions department at our head office after he completed his studies towards a National Diploma in Business Management. He was offered a permanent position eight months into his 12-month internship.

Meet Laura!

Laura is an experience and visual design lead at Parc du Cap, a role that doesn’t allow for a typical day at the office.

Laura’s role is a collaborative one. She works hand in hand with technical writers, research analysts, and developers to create innovative solutions that deliver a user experience that serves the client. Her journey with Metropolitan started 17 years ago when she joined the company as a graphic designer.

Through various courses and workshops made available to her, she has been able to build her career and occupy the role that she has today.

FREE SHUTTLE SERVICES

Our bus services offer free shuttles from the Bellville station to our head office at Parc du Cap. There are also special trips that run between Tyger Valley Shopping Centre and Parc du Cap during lunchtime.
